    Course Description

    The ultimate purpose of this course is the Attainment of the Pleasure of Allah, by seeking the sacred knowledge of the religion, which will help the student worship Him according to His will. 

    This course is designed to help the students achieve the following objectives:

    • Understand the scholarly approach to judging a newly emerged matter and the difference between them and the classical fiqh issues.
    • Appreciating the flexibility of Islamic Law and how it has the means to address all human endeavors.
    • Identify the middle path of moderation between excessiveness and laxity and between rigidity and recklessness in addressing the newly emerged matters.
    • Equipping the students with the skills needed to perform a critical reading of papers written on those issues.
    • Preparing the student to be capable of explaining the discourse concerning these matters to others.
    • Placing the students on the beginning of the path leading to mastery of this type of fiqh and becoming a mujtahid.
